The Franklin-Simpson Bands
of Franklin, Kentucky

The philosophy of the Franklin-Simpson Band Program is to inspire and require Diligence, Discipline, and Dedication from every student musician / performer. The rewards of this approach are positive, self-motivated, and confident students that are prepared to be successful in life.

The mission of the Franklin-Simpson Band Program is to cultivate an appreciation of music and the arts while developing the knowledge, performance, rehearsal and personal practice skills of each student. Members of our program must exemplify consistent work ethic and progress. FS Bands' members are taught to develop goals to achieve personal success while also contributing to the ensemble.

Our various ensembles are the Wildcat Marching Band, Concert Band, Color Guard, Varsity & Junior Varsity Winter Guards, Percussion Ensembles, Jazz Band, Chamber Ensembles, and Pep Band. Marching Band begins each summer and continues through November with performances at home football games in Shadetree Stadium, marching band competitions on Saturdays, and parades year-round. Concert Bands and smaller ensembles begin in November and are geared toward local concerts, District and All-State ensembles through KMEA (Kentucky Music Educator's Association), and festivals & events hosted by area universities and schools.
